    Meet Colton

    Colton is a student leader and community organizer from Mercer County, West Virginia, dedicated to strengthening communities through kindness, civic engagement, and youth leadership. Through initiatives focused on mental health, service, and local involvement, he works to empower young people to make meaningful change where they live. This work brings students together,  making student leaders and initiatives that build connection, encourage service, and create positive impact across the region.

    Colton is a 15-year-old dedicated to volunteering with a variety of organizations, working to build a better, more inclusive Mercer County for everyone.

    Why he Does This

    Colton believes young people can make a real difference in their communities. Through youth leadership, kindness initiatives, and mental health awareness, our goal is to help create stronger and more connected communities across Mercer County.

    Direct Impact

    • $500 raised for McDowell County flood relief
    • 1 Food Drive for Flood Relief in McDowell County
    • 1 Hygiene Drive for Rylee’s Sunshine Foundation
    • 2 Food drives for Mercer County Animal Shelter
    • 1 Small Business Saturday outreach campaign
    • 1 Youth-led mental health initiative
